Echelon Consulting has built many competencies over the years. We offer enterprise-wide application development, focused mainly on large corporate intranets where a small application footprint and a great deal of legacy data integration are required. Specific skill sets related to enterprise application development include:

Strategic technology consulting where we help our clients make confident, informed decisions concerning technology investments in the areas of application development, network infrastructure, and technical support.
Web-based application development using application server technologies such as SilverStream, BEA WebLogic, Tomcat and a variety of other J2EE-related technologies. A majority of our projects have been global in scope and have required sensitivity to international issues involving cultural and language differences.
Execution of the application development life cycle, including requirements definition, analysis and design, coding, testing, rollout, and post-production support.
Web-based reporting using tools such as Dynalivery's Parallel Crystal and Crystal Decision's Crystal Enterprise. Most of our projects include a reporting component where users can request dynamic reports with predefined layouts directly from their browser. Output formats include Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
Database architecture, design, and tuning on platforms such as Oracle and SQL Server. All of our application development projects have included an enterprise database. Our teams have strong Oracle skills and are capable of designing, implementing, and tuning large databases.
Legacy systems data integration including large corporate mainframe databases housing everything from employee information to sensitive financial data.
Data integration with large HRMS systems such as PeopleSoft. Echelon Consulting has been very successful at blending new application data with existing corporate data into a single, consolidated view for users.
Network performance analysis using tools such as RadView Software's WebLoad 5.0. These tools have allowed Echelon Consulting to provide detailed application performance statistics for our clients' global networks. Network architects have used our collected information in order to address wide-area network points where performance was below acceptable levels for our specific applications.
Data migration services are part of almost every project we conduct. In most cases, an existing system is being phased out, requiring the migration of existing production data.
Voice over IP applications have recently become one of our competencies. Specifically, we have implemented an automated voice over IP enterprise password reset system that allows a user to reset his/her NT Domain password by calling a number and following voice prompt instructions. The user's data is checked against an enterprise Data Mart for validation.
